With over 12 million AIDS orphans in Africa, Act4Africa was set up to fight HIV & AIDS through education. The charity delivers AIDS preventative education, stigma reduction and behavioural change programmes in schools, communities and orphanages, empowering young people to take control of their lives. It trains and funds teams of Africans to deliver interactive workshops using drama and sport and sets up Life Clubs to help young people to develop the life skills necessary to reach their full potential. It also takes UK teams to deliver AIDS education alongside its local staff in some of Africa's most difficult to reach communities.
